05 Sep World Conservation Congress Address Severity of Climate Change, Rising Sea Levels – KHON2

As the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress continued in Honolulu, officials Monday focused on adapting to a changing climate.

Agencies including the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources are addressing issues on sea level rise.

Video presentations showed that as seas rise, coastal communities are more exposed to flooding and erosion.

Researchers say we need to re-envision life in the coastal zone.
