About YEAH

A new program at Kupu, Youth Energy Assessment Hawaii (YEAH) is part of an innovative energy conservation effort.  As a partner in the Hawaii Energy Study Kupu’s YEAH program is seeking motivated young people ages 16-24 to join our energy assessment/audit driven training program.

What are the benefits to YEAH program members?

 

Aside from the educational benefits, and vocational training in energy conservation; program members can expect to gain skills for Hawaii’s green job industry, through paid positions. YEAH members will receive an hourly wage for conducting energy audits.

 

Is there a cost?
NO! There is no cost to apply or participate in the YEAH program. Energy assessment and energy auditing training with top industry professionals will be at no cost to Participants.

 

Who should apply?
Any young adults ages 16-24 whom enjoys mechanical work, and is looking for vocational training in the green job sector and are interested in energy conservation, renewable energy, sustainable living, environmental job opportunities, or wants to learn more about Hawaii’s special energy circumstances and sustaining Hawaii’s unique natural environment. Participants are not selected based on their academic performance. No previous experience necessary, basic reading and arithmetic comprehension preferred.
