Lau Kupu Day 2026

This spring, Lau Kupu Day took on a new shape—made possible through the generosity and partnership of organizations including Altres, ALOHA, American Savings Bank, Outrigger Hotels & Resorts, and Howard Hughes Communities.

For years, Lau Kupu Day has brought our community together through service to the ʻāina. This year, we brought that same spirit into our Hoʻokupu Center, creating a more personal and meaningful experience centered around our students.

Rather than a traditional service project, supporters stepped directly into the heart of Kupu’s Community Program. Working alongside students and staff, they helped prepare for our Graduation celebration—making lei, preparing traditional Hawaiian food, and creating a welcoming space for students and their families

What made the experience especially meaningful was that many returned the following day—not simply as sponsors, but as part of the community—celebrating side by side with our graduates and their families and friends.

For many students, Kupu’s Community Program represents a turning point: a place where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Lau Kupu Day offered a unique opportunity for supporters to witness that journey firsthand and build genuine connections

with the young people at the center of this work.

We are deeply grateful to every partner, volunteer, and community member who helped make this Lau Kupu Day possible. Your support extends far beyond a single event—it helps create opportunities, strengthen relationships, and invest in the future of our community.
