Brewing Generosity: Starbucks and Kupu Partner for Community Impact

Starbucks continues to be a valued and generous partner to Kupu, helping create spaces for connection, reflection, and impact throughout the year. With their support, we’ve been able to engage both our staff and the broader community in meaningful moments of giving and shared purpose.

On Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Financial Plaza Bishop & Merchant Street store welcomed Kupu. In just one hour, Kupu connected with 44 community members—sparking thoughtful conversations and sharing the heart of our mission: to grow future leaders and restore Hawaiʻi’s ʻāina. The event offered a platform to build awareness, exchange ideas, and foster new connections rooted in stewardship and aloha.

That same spirit of generosity continued at Kupu’s 2nd Annual Coffee Hour, generously sponsored by Starbucks. The gathering brought together 45 staff members from Kupu, Pono Pacific, and Poukihi for a festive morning of connection and collective giving. Over holiday drinks like “Oh Snap It’s the Holidays” and “Mele Matcha!”— lovingly crafted by our staff baristas—Kupu raised funds for our Blessing Funds, which support Kupu’s most vulnerable youth. These funds provide timely, critical support to help remove barriers and ensure youth can continue their journey with stability, dignity, and care.

Starbucks continues to show what it means to be a true community partner—one that invests in people, amplifies local missions, and helps create opportunities for real impact.

We are deeply grateful for Starbucks’ continued partnership and their role in strengthening our ʻohana. Their support not only uplifts the youth and communities we serve but also nurtures the culture of mālama that drives everything we do.
