The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation is proud to support Kupu’s MALU program with a $4 million grant over five years. This investment reflects our commitment to strengthening Hawai‘i’s ʻāina-based sector by supporting Kupu’s role as an intermediary and helping to build capacity within the community.

Through this partnership, Kupu is honored to steward $16 million in federal funding to subgrant to 25–45 community-based organizations across the state. These funds will support initiatives that expand access to locally grown food, empower youth, and grow a skilled, resilient workforce grounded in place-based knowledge and practices.
